Chiesa di San Jacopo
San Gimignano
Said the artist about his work in San Gimignano:
The piece id as high as the St. Jacopo Church, it reminds of a belltower but has a bewitched bell that doesn’t move and you can see it’s not moving… I wish the iron on which the work has been designed was seen in the afternoon, because at that hour the silhouette is between the wall and the sky and with its iron little roof reminds of countryside iron crucifixions, or th crosses at the top of the towers, or the grates of abandoned houses. What I care is the work won’t be considered a sculpture but a sign on a signed-by-time wall. [free translation]
