Hyuro – DOTS, 2015
Wall of the Residenza Sanitaria Assistenziale
Poggibonsi

Hyuro, born in Argentina, lives in Valencia (Spain).
The artist has always been very careful about women issues and, inside the DOTS – Down on the Street project, realized in Poggibonsi a mural that reflects her thoughts on the status of women through a decadent atmosphere, using cold and gloomy chromatic scale to underline the bad feeling of her main character. The artist wants to tell us her point of view on daily psychological suffering. Hyuro’s woman is weak, conditioned by the stereotypes of the modern society, trapped in her own role. The painted work offer to the viewers an opportunity to think on women’s universe condition; the mural represents a woman focused on sew and the space is fulfilled with the big detailed and texturized blanket, to move the attention from the subject to the object, the real symbol of women’s difficulties.
