Rustam Qbic was born in Russia in 1985.
His love for graffiti fastly got rich with the passion for classical and surrealist painting, so Qbic extended his repertoire of images and fonts. This new style mixes visual elements and surrealist figures with personalized colors, and revealed itself since Qbic’s debut in 2013.
Rustam was influenced by his family story, nature and love for books, and his works carrie a universal message of love, knowledge and spirituality.
For the DOTS Fest – Down on the Street Qbic realised a dreamy surrealistic image full of symbolism, by using the unusual architecture of the Residenza Sanitaria Assistenziale, to create a noble place to rest. After a long trip in the desert the artist narrates the story of the knoledge passed on from one generation to the next during lifetime. The butterfly feed the nectar of the flower, its knoledge, that represents the next generation that is going to learn from the elder one.
