The first historical references about Stomennano date back to 1234, when an important peace agreement between Siena and Florence was signed in this area. Borgo Stomennano’s core is the 17th century house, around which were erected a lot of buildings (of which the Volta and the Tinaione) in tipical and traditional Tuscan style. Stomennano is also headquarter of Azienza Agricola Stomennano (Stomennano Farm), providing the 17th cent. house of self-producted high quality wines and olive oil.
