Giulia Scarpaleggia has lived her whole life in Colle Val d’Elsa in the Tuscan countryside and is a full-time food blogger. In February 2009, she began Jul’s Kitchen, an online space where she brings her passion for food to life with words and photos. She transformed this hobby and passion into a full-time job when she became a freelance food writer in January 2012.
Today, she works with magazines and companies to develop recipes, and teaches Tuscan cookery courses to foreigners and Italians. She has also written books and other publications on Tuscan cuisine.
