Nunzio, “San Gimignano” – Affinità, 1994
Vicolo dei Bongi
San Gimignano
…The place I chose to realize “San Gimignano” project is setted in one of the alley crossing the main street, close to the North door. There is in this little street a little terrace that links two buildings. The artwork is realized with six golden foils on the internal part of the arch. This creates a 6 meters golden roof alternated with seven little arches. The continous changing of light takes away darkness from the place.
The installation wants to find continuity and nullify the historical distance between that place and the contemporary world…
